Op vrijdag 8 mei staat de band op het podium van De Kroepoekfabriek!

Pothamus speelt een unieke mix van repetitieve riffs, tribaleske percussie en schurende baslijnen. De sound is een sonische verkenning en creëert een meeslepende ervaring die het alledaagse overstijgt en het diepe induikt. Debuutalbum ‘Raya’ uit 2020 werd geprezen door zowel fans als critici (MetalHammer, Decibel Magazine, Rock Tribune) en baande de weg langs vele bekende Belgische podia en internationale festivals. In februari 2025 brachten ze hun langverwachte tweede album ‘Abur’ uit via Pelagic Records, waarmee ze hun luisteraars opnieuw meenemen op een betoverende odyssee. De opname, mixage en mastering werden verzorgd door Chiaran Verheyden, bekend van o.a. Psychonaut, Hippotraktor.

Zware Metalen zette het album ‘Abur’ op #17 in hun jaarlijst van 2025:
“Dit is meer dan opnieuw een goede release van Pelagic Records. Abur stijgt boven het toch al hoge gemiddelde van dat label uit: in kwaliteit van de songs, maar vooral in de alomvattendheid die je driekwartier van hier neemt. Doe je zelf een plezier als post/sludge-fan: pak die plaat op, dim de lichten en ontstijg voor even de miserie van het aardse bestaan om een stuk lichter van geest terug te keren.”

GAVRAN
Rotterdamse post doom formatie Gavran bracht in januari 2026 de EP “The One Who Propels” uit, als opvolger van hun emotionele voorganger “Indistinct Beacon” die op Dunk! Records was uitgebracht. De band werkte samen met Marius Prins (Throwing Bricks) en Tim de Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader, enz.), wat resulteert in een enorme en emotionele geluidsmuur. De band haalt inspiratie uit vele verwante genres en combineert elementen uit doom, sludge, shoegaze en postrock.
